The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. Anushka played Shahid Kapoor Meiyang Chang and Vir Das in the movie Badmash Company. The movie received mixed reviews. Anushka Sharma starred in the movie "Band Baaja Baaraat. She portrayed an Punjabi woman in the middle class who owns her own wedding company. The movie received a great reception and was later a sleeper. Anushka had completed the three film contract together with Yash Raj Films.
